Phoenix, the one-year-old pitbull recently rescued by the Lower South Coast SPCA, is coming along in leaps and bounds.
The female pitbull cross, saved from a certain and cruel death after her owners had severely neglected and mistreated her Sarcoptic Mange, is making massive strides since being taken in by the local SPCA at the end of last year.
Phoenix is in much better health and is even enjoying exercise and playtime out in the sun.
In a statement, the Lower South Coast SPCA said, “She has such a warm playful personality and we can’t believe how quickly she is healing after her ordeal.
“Thanks to all of her kind sponsors, this girl has been brought back to life.”
Animal lovers have been playing a key role in Phoenix’s ongoing recovery through much-needed donations.
