Video: Fearless Frenchman hits world record 333km/h on a bicycle

Last Friday, French bus driver Francois Gissy rode his rocket-powered bicycle to an unbelievable world record speed of 333km/h.

He also managed to go over the double tonne in just 4.8 seconds, which is over 10 seconds quicker than the Hennessey Venom GT – the car that currently holds the record for the production car 0-300km/h sprint – can manage.

The bike was so fast it left a Ferrari F430 in the dust, or should we say, a cloud of rocket smoke.
