Port Shepstone police is in the limelight once again! The station was awarded the winner for the category “Best Station” during the Kwa Zulu Natal Provincial Excellence Awards 2016/2017 held in Durban on 31 July 2017.

Station commander, Brigadier Sandra Nala, attributes this achievement to her entire team at the station as well as the assistance from external role players.  She extended her appreciation to every employee at Port Shepstone police station who, through their loyalty and hard work, made winning the award possible.  Brigadier Nala also emphasized that the contribution from external role players,  such as other Law Enforcement agencies, the RTi, Security companies and the Community itself, has also played a significant role to  make the police station so successful, whether it was fighting crime, reaching out to communities, making arrests and securing good convictions in criminal cases, etc.  She extended her heartfelt appreciation to everyone involved and mentioned that she is blessed to have such a  winning team. Cluster commander, Major General Sethenya Nxamagele, was equally overfilled with joy with this achievement.  She praised the commander and her team for winning the award.
