SAPS looking for these people in connection with handbag and trolley content theft in Sheppie

MEDIA STATEMENT BY SAPS UGU CLUSTER COMMUNICATION, MARKETING AND LIAISON

A 29 year old female was shopping at a grocery store in Robinson street when her handbag containing cash, a cellphone and other personal items was stolen out of the trolley on Saturday 19 January at approximately 14:50.

A theft case has been opened at SAPS Port Shepstone for investigation. The persons in the attached pictures may be able to assist police in this case. Detective W/O Andries Matthysen can be contacted on 039-6881058 or 0729845255 .

The public are cautioned to keep their handbag safely tucked under the arm, with zippers closed and side pockets facing inwards or with the handbag diagonally across the body. Do not carry large amounts of cash but rather use card services where possible.

Do not display valuable items like cellphones, jewelry etc. in public.
