IT is that dramatic time of year once more, when the thespians and theatre junkies gear up for the iNkundla Theatre Festival.
The magic takes place on Sunday, July 19, 2018 at Uvongo Town Hall, at 9 am. The festival aims to discover, nurture and develop raw local talent.
The audition process began on May 29, 2018 and will run until Friday, June 9, 2018.
The Cultural and Creative Industry Federation South Africa (CCIFSA) provides platforms for artists to build on resolutions taken at the CCIFSA iMbizo held at Margate Hall in March, and to fully support the programme in order to create an organised, sustainable and thriving creative and cultural industry.
Local talents Tsoro (comedian) and Vuyokazi Tshona – Imbewu: The Seed – will be wearing the MC and Guest Judge hats respectively on the day. Partners of the festival include the Ray Nkonyeni Municipality Youth Office, the Ugu District Municipality Youth Office, and Ugu Jazz Arts Festival. CCIFSA looks forward to engaging these stakeholders, in a way that benefits artists and presents them with new opportunities.
Much goes in to insuring a successful festival, and the organisation welcomes and commends anyone who would like to assist in making the programme a success.
