The Heritage Day charity fun run, walk and cycle from Uvongo Fishing Pier on Monday was a big success.
A total of 161 people participated in the 5/10km event, raising R4418.20 for The Cows, who support the CHOC Childhood Cancer Foundation South Africa
Among them were Guy Barnfather and his caregiver Peter Greyson (pictured). Greyson, a promising runner who joined the South Coast Striders in November, did the first 5km alone in under 16 minutes.
He then completed the second lap with Barnfather, helping the latter by pushing him in his wheelchair.
Organiser Deborah Berridge, a South Coast Strider and Cows Comrades runner, thanked everyone for their support.
