It was a celebration of note at Hibberdene Bowling Club’s 50-year anniversary cocktail party on Friday.

A jovial atmosphere filled the air as members of ‘the friendliest club on the South Coast’ celebrated and reflected on the club’s legacy.

A collection of 150 photos chronicling the club’s evolution – from its original seashore origins to its current Eton Road location – added to the evening’s festivities, which included founding and oldest living club member, 90-year-old Mike Hoyer, cutting the cake.
Hibberdene Bowling Club Mike Hoyer“The evening went down very nicely and everybody thoroughly enjoyed the occasion,” club president Eddie Milne told eHowzit.

“It was nice to have such a good turnout of about 40 to 50 people to celebrate the club’s history.

“Everyone was really interested in the photos on the big screen; they quite enjoyed that and had a good time overall.

“We look forward to making more memories in the years to come.”
