Clinton Bezuidenhout from Hibberdene heads into the second round of the Engen Volkswagen Cup at Kyalami on Saturday high on momentum.
The grade 10 Creston College learner got a huge present for his 16th birthday when he took the overall junior win in the opening round at Killarney Raceway in Cape Town last month.
A fourth in the first heat and a second in the second saw him secure the junior spoils and finish second overall in his Etienne van der Linde-prepared “Glyco” Polo with the Signature Motorsport team.
The talented teenager will look to continue his good start to the championship in Saturday’s second round, which forms part of the Motorsport Festival at the world-famous Gauteng-based Grand Prix circuit.
