KwaZulu-Natal MEC for Social Development, Mrs Weziwe Thusi, will on Sunday 20 October lead a team of eminent religious, community and political leaders in a prayer day against social ills in KwaXolo, on the South Coast.
The event is an attempt by all stakeholders to galvanise communities to play their part in fighting social ills engulfing the area. Currently there is a high number of rapes of leaners and moral degeneration among young people. MEC Thusi will also officially hand over an Early Childhood Development centre.
The event will also be used to deliver much-needed services in the area as various Government Departments such as Social Development, Health, Education, Home Affairs, South African Police Services, South African Social Security Services and Hibiscus Coast Municipality will be involved.
