NSRI Shelly Beach comes to boat’s aid

STATEMENT BY NSRI SHELLY BEACH STATION COMMANDER JEREMIAH JACKSON:

At 15h40, Wednesday, 16th January, NSRI Station 20 Shelly Beach duty crew launched the sea rescue craft Spirit of Dawn to rendezvous with a recreational fishing boat reporting motor mechanical failure of one motor.

On arrival on the scene a crewman of the casualty boat was transferred onto the sea rescue craft and NSRI crew were transferred onto the casualty craft where repairs to the motor were attempted but after repairs were not successful NSRI towed the casualty boat safely ashore and no further assistance was required.
