Oh so close for Sheppie High first XV


The Port Shepstone High School first XV reached the final of the rugby night series.

The boys played at Amanzimtoti Rugby Club and lost by one-point right at the end to a strong Kuswag team.

The first team touch rugby girls beat St Benedicts 4-1 and the girls second team lost to New Forest. The junior girls drew one-all and the boys first team beat St Benedicts 4-3.

All the basketball matches against Queensburgh were won by our boys. The first team won 28-24, the U15s won 41-2 and the second team won 44-1.

Cricket was played against Amanzimtoti. Sheppie High batted first and scored two hundred and twenty, with Tyler Hogan scoring sixty-eight.

Chulumanco Zinto took two wickets for five runs and Amanzimtoti were bowled out for seventy.
