PHOTOS: Sheppie High matrics celebrate good results

Port Shepstone High School is pleased with the performance of its 2017 National Senior Certificate candidates who achieved a 98% pass rate.

A total of 240 candidates wrote, 184 achieved a Bachelors pass, 38 a Diploma pass and 12 a Higher Certificate pass.

Julia Venter was the top achiever with 7 A’s and she was invited to attend a prestigious function at the ICC in Durban where she learned that she was placed fifth in the Ugu District.

The function was addressed by His Majesty King Goodwill Zwelethini, as well as the Ambassador for China, the KZN Premier, Mr T W Mchunu and the KZN MEC for Education, Mr M E Dlungwana.

Also to be congratulated are Rachel Venter – Julia’s twin sister, who was Dux in 2017 – and Kiroshan Naidoo, who also achieved seven A symbols.
