The last day of term three ended with much excitement among the pupils and staff as Southcity celebrated their cultural heritage.
Pupils and staff dressed up for the day and all admired the bright, beautiful and colourful outfits from all cultures and countries.
A special programme was organised where pupils shared a bible reading in Afrikaans, followed by a prayer in English, gumboot dancing and singing, a talk on Indian cuisine, Zulu poems, a Khoi-San story and traditional games.
The programme culminated with each class sharing traditional cuisine. We are so thankful to share such a rich and diverse culture here at Southcity.
