Port Shepstone Hockey Club elected their new committee at their annual general meeting recently.
Donovan Rothman (pictured) was re-elected as chairman following a successful 2016 season for the club. Also elected were Kelly Rothman as secretary, Delyse Patterson as treasurer, men’s representatives Chris Stewart, Carl Eva and Keith Evans, ladies representatives Sien-marie Greyling, Tanya Hielckert and Chanel Oosthuizen and Kyle Allen as schools representative.
“We are looking forward to a very exciting season this year with both our men’s and ladies teams hoping to be as competitive as they were last year,” chairman Rothman said.
“This is also the first time in seven years that we will be sending teams to represent the Southern KZN Districts at the regional quadrangular tournament held in Pietermaritzburg in May.
“We will be sending two ladies sides as well as a men’s side who will play against teams from Northern KZN, Zululand as well as Midlands.
“The South Coast community can look forward to our pitch and plays, two company tournaments as well as the junior and senior fun hockey days.”
