South Coast Hospice forced to cancel Ides of March banquet

South Coast Hospice’s Roman-themed banquet has sadly fallen on its sword.

The Ides of March banquet, which had a set menu and was scheduled to be held at Jaxx Restaurant in Umtentweni on Friday, has unfortunately been cancelled due to a lack of support.

CEO Diane van Dyk, fund-raising co-ordinator BT King and the passionate staff at South Coast Hospice are the unsung heroes of the community, dedicating all their time and effort into providing quality palliative care to community members.

Despite this, the local Hospice was forced to close its doors a few years ago. Fortunately, renewed support resurrected the all-important and much-needed NPO.

It’s imperative, however, that South Coasters – the very people the NPO serves so lovingly and professionally – sustain the heartbeat of Hospice by supporting fund-raisers such as the one that’s now been cancelled.

eHowzit urges community members to once again prioritise supporting South Coast Hospice.
