Tyler Hogan and Wian de Beer from Suid-Natal Martial Arts Academy have once again made the Ugu Karate Region proud.
The star duo formed part of the South African team who competed at the ninth Commonwealth Karate Championships, which took place at the Olive Convention Centre Ice Arena in Durban from Thursday to Sunday.
Just under 1000 athletes from 12 countries showcased their skills in the international event.
Hogan represented South Africa and obtained a bronze medal in the Cadet 14-15 year category for kata.
De Beer represented South Africa in the Commonwealth Cup and obtained a bronze medal in the boys 10-11 year under 45kg category for kumite.
The South Coast standouts contributed to the South African team being crowned Commonwealth champions.
