Tyler Hogan has been awarded Protea colours following numerous excellent achievements in major karate competitions over the past few weeks.
As eHowzit reported, the Suid-Natal Martial Arts Academy ace starred at the AUSC Region 5 Karate Championships in Botswana and at the Arnold Classic Africa in Sandton recently.
As a result, he has been awarded national colours and has been selected as part of an elite South African team to represent his country at the Youth Olympic Qualifier and Training Camp to be held in Umag, Croatia from 29 June to 9 July.
Hogan will be attending this event with the best karateka from around the world, including many current and previous world champions.
“This is an outstanding achievement and an unbelievable experience for Tyler and we wish him everything of the best,” said Sensei Coenie Vrey.
