Southcity sports stars selected for KZN

Five Southcity learners have been selected for KwaZulu-Natal hockey and swimming teams.

Slondiwe Ndwalane has made the KZN Coastals U14A hockey side and Sinethemba Nyathi has made KZN Coastals U14B hockey side.

We are so proud of these two, who consistently play high quality hockey and deserve this achievement. Having seen the standard of hockey played at the KZN Coastals trials, for these two to be selected is a really massive achievement!

They are members of our amazing U14 hockey team, which Slondiwe captains and leads by example by not missing a practice even when injured and unable to play.

These two young ladies have come through from our Preparatory School where they represented KZN Coastals U13 and U12 teams over last few years, with Sinethemba making her U12 Coastals debut at only U11.

Meanwhile, Jeandré Joubert, Suné de Wit and Scarlet Scorer have been selected for the 2019 KZN schools swimming team.

These three swimmers are an incredible example of commitment. The hours and hours spent training in the pool are paying off. You three deserve this.
