Margate Saints Surf Lifesaving Club impressed in the Southern KwaZulu-Natal Nipper Championships in Scottburgh at the weekend.
Despite being the smallest club at the competition with just 10 participants – most of whom are Izotsha Primary School learners – “Team Awesome” as they have become known in recent years finished fourth overall.
Every member also won individual awards, with some even winning more than one event.
The team consisted of Dillon Brymer, Josh Brymer, Ricardo Carthew, Matthew Hunt, Trent Wolfgang, Tamara Venter, Matthew Greyling, Reece Murray, Kyle Wolfgang and Tamara van Rooyen.
