Blake Gutzeit (Bidvest bLU cRU Yamaha Racing) underlined his status South Africa’s best endurocross rider when he recorded a riveting win in Sunday’s Inner City Enduro (ICE) in Port Elizabeth.
ICE is capturing the imagination of the extreme enduro riders and fans alike all over the world. Using the natural and man-made obstacles of the inner city and letting loose a bunch of professional extreme enduro riders is what ICE is all about.
As South Africa’s first-ever superenduro world champion, Gutzeit (pictured) was the man to beat in the Pro Class. The South Coast superstar’s technical prowess, however, proved too good for the rest of the field.
Travis Teasdale (Beta) took second and Paddock ace Kyle Flanagan (Bidvest bLU cRU Yamaha Racing) finished third.
