The fourth annual Max Mbili Community Soccer Challenge Cup was a huge success.
Community members came in numbers to support their teams and be entertained with rare talent displayed by some highly gifted players.
Msikaba United FC became the 2018 champions when they beat the defending champions Black Swallows by two goals to one.
The defending champion Black Swallows won the trophy for three consecutive years since the inception of the tournament in December 2015.
Individual players in the championship scooped prizes as follows: Goal keeper of the tournament, hat trick goals in a match, and the best coaches.
Founder and organiser Max Mbili told eHowzit that this tournament was now realising one of its founding objectives, namely building and sustaining social cohesion.
“We are determined to unite this community more than before through sports. We promise a more improved tournament in 2019”.
