The ANC will hold a two-day indaba to discuss the decline in votes following last week’s elections.

According to the Sunday Times, the Gauteng premier Nomvula Mokonyane said the party would hold a two-day brainstorming session to discuss the issue.

She also told the newspaper that they would discuss the issue of the Western Cape and that they would do some serious reflection on Gauteng, where the ANC’s majority slipped from 64% in 2009 to 53% last week.

The party however lost support in all provinces and saw a national decline from 65.9% in 2009 to 62.15% last week.
