The Auto Exec Monthly Mug was played at Port Shepstone Country Club on Saturday.

Always a highlight, this month’s winner was Paul Geoffery on 69 nett.

His gross of 76 was also the best on the day.

In the A Division, Greg Hornby counted out drifting star Shane Gutzeit on 71 nett, with Willem Lindeque finishing third on 72.

The B Division saw Rob Calder pip Pete Govender on 70. In third place on 71 was Fred van Zyl.

The C Division also came down to a count out, Louis Klopper edging Gary Vogt on 70, with Shaun Nathanson placing third on 71 nett.

Santhos Baskali, meanwhile, won the Individual Stableford on 39 points.

The battle for second place saw Jenny Hulley count out Yzelle Greyling on 38 points.

The competition proved to be the calm before the storm as torrential rain lashed the course and South Coast up to Durban on Tuesday.

Due to the club’s top-class draining system, the course was reopened on Wednesday.
