Former Springbok coach Ian McIntosh and ex-Proteas star Errol Stewart will be the guest speakers at a Rugby World Cup business lunch at Margate Bowling Club on Friday.
Cost is R200 per person and includes a three-course meal and two bottles of wine per table. To book or for more information, contact the club at 039 312 0351.
McIntosh served as Bok coach during the early 90s and is highly regarded in South African rugby circles.
He took the Sharks to five Currie Cup finals, of which he won four, plus a Super 12 final during the 90s.
Stewart played six one-day internationals for the Proteas, making his debut in 1992 against Pakistan in East London. He also played Currie Cup rugby for the Sharks at centre.
In 1995, he won the Currie Cup with the Sharks and the Currie Cup with the Dolphins cricket side. He is one of only a handful of people to achieve this feat and with the onset of professional sport, this achievement is unlikely to be emulated.
