The Kingfisher Bowling Association is on a roll with another weather-friendly tournament that saw some outstanding Mixed Fours being played on Monday.

The honours, after a nail-biting finish, went to The Bell’s Barry Delvin, Daphne Sapsford, Leon Sander and Mada Lindique.

The worthy runners-up were Margate’s Gerry Davey, Franci Philpott and Derek and Georgie McKechnie.

In joint third position were Maureen and Wayne Muller and Geoff and Tina Barbour from The Bell together with Hibberdene’s Wayne van Nikkelen-Kuyper, Gloria Gerard and Miriam and Arthur Seagar.

“The final between The Bell and Margate was one of the best games seen for a long time,” said Kingfisher Bowling Association president, Barbara Brook.

She added: “The entry forms for the Men’s and Women’s Pairs on 10 June have been sent out, so get your entries in ASAP and enjoy the break from KBA competitions, with only the Midweek league being played at the moment.

“The next KBA Council meeting is on 24 April at Margate at 9.30. Wishing you all good luck and good weather for the upcoming MCC Challenge, Margate Week, Nationals and Hibiscus Week.”
