After completion of his basic training he was posted to Umkomaas, where he performed various duties.

The Umkomaas SAPS congratulates Capt. Ismail Shaik on his retirement as of March 31, 2021.

Capt. Shaik joined the South African Police as a student officer on July 12, 1984.

He underwent his basic training at the Wentworth Police Training College in January 1986.

Capt. Shaik pursued further studies and obtained a Diploma in Policing.

He was promoted to the rank of officer on July 1, 1993.

Capt. Shaik served at various other police stations before being sent back to Umkomaas as the communication officer.

He is also grateful to the community of Umkomaas for its support and he encourages them to continue supporting the police in the fight against crime.

The Umkomaas Station Commander Col Mabida and his staff wish Capt. Shaik a well-deserved retirement.

The Rising Sun thanks Capt. Shaik for the regular crime reports and hopes that he will enjoy a happy and uninterrupted leisure time with his family in Umkomaas.
