The Port Shepstone men’s hockey team continued to build momentum as they claimed a 3-1 win over Thomas Moore at 3 Schools Astro on Sunday.

Despite having just 10 men on the park, Sheppie were able to secure their second win in as many weeks following their 3-1 victory over Gryphons.

The experience of the players counted, with Gareth Bishop scoring twice and Warren Nel adding another to seal the win.

Ladies leak costly late goals

The Port Shepstone ladies team produced a much-improved performance but went down 3-0 to Gryphons on Saturday afternoon.

The game took a few minutes to settle but once this happened the game flowed with a lot of attacking and defending runs.

Sheppie were in with a shout at half-time, trailing just 1-0 after Gryphons scored a field goal.

However, Gryphons scored a second from a short corner and added a third late in the second half to wrap up the game.

Player of the Match honours went to Kelly Rothman.
