Dezzi South Coast Raceway will play host to the inaugural South African Drag Fest on 25-26 March.
The event, presented by KZN Drag Racing and Gas Magazine and sanctioned by Motorsport South Africa, will boast two days of intense drag racing featuring a slew of the fastest cars in the country. A total of 220 competitors will fight it out for the title of the fastest in their respective classes.
KZN Drag Racing and Gas Magazine events each year draw thousands of patrons and are the most successful motoring and lifestyle events on the KwaZulu-Natal calendar, and the first-ever South African Drag Fest is poised to be the biggest and best yet.
Day One (Saturday, 25 March) will comprise of drag racing and trial biking while Day Two (Sunday, 26 March) will have something for everyone with the inclusion of a show-and-shine, sound off, and the ever-growing remote control drifting in addition to more drag racing and trial bike shows.
KZN Drag Racing, Gas Magazine and Grounded Nation invite the whole family, therefore no alcohol, weapons, food, cooler boxes or open fires will be allowed. Patrons may, however, bring camping chairs and non-branded gazebos. There will be exhibitors, a Halaal food court, full security and toilet facilities.
The event takes place at the Oslo Beach-based home of KwaZulu-Natal motorsport, a family-orientated venue boasting a picturesque sea view.
Tickets: R90 for adults – R50 for Pensioners and free for Kids under 12.
Grandstand tickets are limited and can be purchased at the grandstands for an additional R50.
Gates are open from 8am-5pm.
