The KwaZulu-Natal Seniors Tennis Tournament served up plenty of excitement at Uvongo Tennis Club over the weekend.

The annual two-day tournament has become a highlight on the Uvongo Tennis Club calendar, and an incredibly high standard of tennis is always evident.

Fifty-six players from Gauteng, Eastern Cape and KwaZulu-Natal took part in this year’s tournament.

Emerging victorious were the Eagles, consisting of captain Wayne Manning, Mark Hannaway, Jill Crewe, Gules Salottolo, Tania van Doorn, Nthi Molapo, Ruthven Pullin and Trevor Small.

The B section winners were David Vincent, Simone Hattingh, Pippa Hopkins, Neil Perry, Ina Cochrane and Fan-fan Gaba.

In addition to the main sponsors – Hibiscus Retirement Village and Ugu South Coast Tourism – local businesses donated significant prizes for such a worthy event.
