Shaun Jenkins and Darren Walker unearthed the hidden holes and Shaun also ran in a 2-club along with Tony Power, Barry Kisten and Doc Mahabeer.

They say that no news is good news and after last week’s criminal upheaval, let’s keep it that way.

Thanks go out to the many volunteers that manned the defence of our town and kept it free from the saboteurs that crippled the other local communities.

Wednesday’s game at Scottburgh Golf Club of course was cancelled, but on Saturday we managed to play an Individual Stableford.

Hayley Gilliver took full advantage of the good weather and trimmed greens, cut by Graham Brown. She banked a flawless 41 points to easily win the day.
Barry Kisten managed 38 and Brian Richards had 35 for third place, despite losing a ball on the second hole.

His tee shot hit a red marker and it was gone, but not for long as he then found it in the bunker on the third hole!

All things being equal we’ll be playing a betterball Stableford on Wednesday and the monthly medal on Saturday, sponsored by our Local Choice pharmacy.

Flyer’s footnote: The shortest distance between any two points on a golf course is a straight line that passes directly through the centre of a very large tree, which as Gary Player always reminds us is 90 percent air.
