Two new vehicles were sponsored to Khanya Hospice last week.
For the past several weeks, Khanya Hospice staff endured a lot of hardships and trauma after their work vehicle was stolen, but all that changed when one company stepped in to help out.
DESign Group in the Southway Business Park in Amanzimtoti and its CEO, John Mulgrew, sponsored not one, but two vehicles to Khanya Hospice last week.
Khanya Hospice CEO, Neil McDonald, stated that this grand surprise couldn’t have come at a better time.
“People were just too scared to go to the hospital and would rather phone us for help and this has put a lot of strain on our finances.”
“When our nursing sister’s car was stolen, it made matters worse, so now that things are turning around we are extremely grateful.”
The DESign Group met with hospice staff at Halfway Malanda Toyota in Umkomaas for the vehicle handover last Wednesday and were thanked by the hospice staff for their generosity and kindness.
