The Douglas Mitchell Colts claimed an 80-run over the Knights at Douglas Mitchell Sports Grounds on Sunday to progress to the final of the Southern Natal Clubs Cricket 50-over knockout tournament.
The Colts won the toss and elected to bat first.
Russell Hughes anchored the innings and top-scored with 59 runs. Juandré Koekemoer and Dirkie Botes assisted with 22 runs and 31 runs respectively to help set a target of 193 runs.
Usman Moosa bowled excellently for the visitors, claiming five wickets for 43 runs in 10 overs.
In reply, the Knights started well, however, the wheels came off and slumped to 113 all out. Koekemoer reverted to seam bowling and picked up four wickets for 25 runs, leaving the spinning to the more seasoned pro Dale Potgieter, who cleaned up the tail and finished with figures of three wickets for just one run in two overs.
The second semi-final between Port Shepstone and the Douglas Mitchell Old Boys was postponed and will be played at Douglas Mitchell Sports Grounds this Sunday.
The final will be played on Sunday, 30 March.
