ILoveBoobies hosted their main charity event at Burry Stander Bike Park on Saturday.
Organised by local ambassadors Angela Bunge and Cindy Francis, the event consisted of fun 40km, 20km and 10km mountain bike group rides as well as a 5km trail run.
The day was well supported with roughly 40 mountain bikers and 40 runners/walkers taking part and raising just over R8000.
“We are thrilled that it was a great success with a wonderful turnout,” said Bunge.
“All the ILoveBoobies socks and merchandise proceeds go towards sending mobile breast cancer screening clinics to rural areas of South Africa, helping those who cannot afford to get screened, checked and taught about cancer. So thank you to all that helped us raise money, and came to the event. Every bit helps to save a life and your contributions in turn bless others.
“A huge thank you to all that came out to support this amazing cause and to our great sponsors Concept Cyclery, Bobby’s Cycles, Jaxx Restaurant, Harbourview Spar, Rochelly’s Massage and Nails, Rachel Cornhill Massage, Coral Chemicals, Smile Coffee and Tiago’s.”
