The Southcoast Mall has announced that Game has reopened after having temporarily closed due to a staff member testing positive for COVID-19.
INITIAL STATEMENT BY SOUTHCOAST MALL (Wednesday morning):
Game Southcoast Mall temporarily closes due to a confirmed case of COVID-19
Southcoast Mall has been advised by Game that one of its employees has tested positive for COVID-19.
As a result, and in accordance with occupational health and safety guidelines, the store has announced that it will temporarily close until such time as their relevant COVID-19 response protocols (in compliance with the Regulations published in respect of the Disaster Management Act) have been completed.
The case has been reported to the National Institute for Communicable Diseases (NICD) and the Department of Health. Centre management and Game will work with government and health officials to assess when the store can be reopened, and stakeholders will be advised in due course.
