It seems as though tourists in the Kruger National Park are becoming increasingly casual about their interaction with wild animals. Watch as this lion takes a stand.  If recent video footage is anything to go by, it seems like tourists in the Kruger National Park are slowly losing their sense of respect for nature. Three weeks after an elephant charged and injured two tourists who got far too close for comfort in the park, another video has emerged of self-drive vehicles crowding around two lions. In the video, two children lean right out of the car’s window to get closer to the big cats – which are already pretty damn close – for a photograph. The male lion suddenly decides enough is enough, leaps up and growls at them. Fortunately for the offending tourists, the lion and his female companion decide to flee the scene instead, heading off into the bush. As Kruger Sightings points out on their YouTube channel: “If he had decided to attack, there wouldn’t have been enough time to get in the car and close the window.” The Kruger Park clearly stipulates in its rules and regulations that no part of the body may protrude from the car, either through the window or a sunroof, unless in designated areas.
