The Seed of Hope (SOH) organisation in Bhekuwandle lost another valued colleague with the death of Musa Mvula on Monday, 16 November after a short illness. He joined Seed of Hope in April 2005 and throughout the years he showed great leadership and commitment to the communities of Bhekulwandle, Illovu and surrounding areas.
He started working as a volunteer at SOH, doing administrative work, but didn’t feel fulfilled until he facilitated the children’s after school ministry, as he discovered that youth and children were his passion. In 2012 he started leading the SOH youth programme called Abaholi Bakusasa (tomorrow’s leaders). Through this programme, he was able to provide life skills to learners in local high schools.
“It has been amazing to witness the transformation God brought to the students through Musa’s message and his life,” said SOH CEO, Londiwe Myeza. “He also taught a leadership programme for high school learners, using peer groups. Many of the testimonies given during their graduation included youth who struggled with addictions, but grew to become leaders in their circles of influence.”
