Ugu Aquatics held their second age-group gala at Southcity last Saturday.
The wind was a force to be reckoned with, and blew the starting equipment down, causing unseen damages just before the first heat was about to start.
Thankfully, hosts Margate Swimming Club (MSC) was able to open it up and fix it on-site so that the gala could proceed.

The field was bolstered by three visiting clubs – Trident from Amanzimtoti, Seals from Pietermaritzburg and Seagulls from Durban.
Despite the severe wind and weather conditions, MSC swimmers still produced amazing results.
Kaitlyn Ramos and Kayde Orsmond made their Level 3 times, while Ethan Alberts, Ange Dore, Keagon Ramos and Kelsey Windvogel made their Level 2 times.
