Middleton appeal decision today

The appeal by HCM Protection Services’ Director Dave Middleton against the Sheppie magistrate’s court decision to refuse him bail, will be heard in the Pietermaritzburg High Court today.   His legal representative Larry Seethal told eHowz!t advocate André de Wet SC would be handling the appeal, and advocate Adelaide de Wet would represent the Department of Public Prosecutions.  The verdict was expected later  today.

Middleton is still in custody in Margate.

Fifty-eight-year-old Middleton pleaded not guilty on several charges of rape, sexual assault, sexual grooming of a child, display of child pornography and intimidation when he appeared before magistrate Piet Coetzer two months ago. He is due to appear in the Port Shepstone magistrate’s court again on 3 December.
