MEDIA STATEMENT BY PORT SHEPSTONE SAPS CLUSTER:
On Tuesday 1 October, Port Shepstone SAPS Social Crime Prevention members followed up information regarding alleged stolen property which led them to Betania. It is alleged that a school in the area was broken into and a number of tablet phones were stolen during the holidays. Sergeant Dumisani Zulu and Constable Ziningi Khena arrested a 38 year old man who was found in possession of the alleged stolen tablets.
He will appear in the Port Shepstone Magistrates Court tomorrow on a charge of possession of suspected stolen property. The value of the property is R90 000. The public are advised to report any criminal activities to their local police station and not to buy stolen property as there could be legal consequences
