THE FOLLOWING STATEMENT HAS BEEN RECEIVED BY THE PORT SHEPSTONE SAPS:
Three men appeared in the Port Shepstone magistrate’s court this morning for possession of stolen property. Ashvir Baldrash (30), Marcio Rossouw (27) and Robert Sukai (56) were arrested on Friday 2013-13-20 after WO Patrick Gosling, cst Travis Dickens and Cst Mzwakhe Makana went to a certain business in Shelly beach, which is being managed by one of the accused, and recovered a box containing fishing reels and several fishing rods in a back room of the business premises. These were allegedly stolen from the wear house of another business in the Port Shepstone CBD earlier this month. An angle grinder was also recovered which was allegedly stolen during a burglary at another business in town. The three were charged and then released on R2000 bail each.
On Saturday 2013-12-21 five suspects were arrested for the burglaries at these premises and they appeared in court today on house breaking charges. Investigations are continuing.
