German Church Bazaar = Wunderbar!

One of the highlights of the Hibiscus Coast’s annual social calendar is the Bazaar of the Bethany Lutheran Church in Izotsha, which took place last Saturday.

As always, a wonderful time was had by all at this extremely well-organised event. Yet again, its ‘meat market’ was one of the drawcards for lovers of German processed meat and other delicacies, and customers queued from early in the morning, waiting for the doors to open at 11 am.

After savouring the sights and sounds of the bazaar, eHowz!t cornered Oscar Brüggeman, a well-known South Coast resident ( and dairy farmer ) for many years, and the “official historian” of the Lutheran Church.  He gave Johan Pretorius some background information about the bazaar and the congregation……
