Hibiscus Coast Municipal Manager Max Mbili has admitted that he has not responded timeously to requests by the KZNSCRRA led by Professor Olliver Ransome. The ratepayers’ association requested specifics about a service charter from the municipality some time ago, which the municipality promised to do. However, the association says, this has not happened, and it is afraid that the initial positive relationship between the association and the municipality is slipping back into the situation of negativity and distrust that existed in the past. During the briefing after the council meeting last week, eHowz!t asked Mr. Mbili why the response has been late. He gave an overview of the situation up the where it is now, gave what he regarded as valid reasons why certain undertakings had not been met….his response is lengthy, but worthwhile for rate payers who want to get a first-hand insight into the nitty gritty of the matter……..
