Blue Ocean Aquatics swimmers rise to the occasion at Level One Regional Champs

A quartet of Blue Ocean Aquatics swimmers peaked at the perfect time at the Level One Regional Championships in Durban recently.

Emma Kuhn raced in seven finals and came home with three bronze medals for her efforts.

The medals where acquired in the 50m and 100m breaststroke and 100m butterfly events.

Not only did she place well in her events but she took off 17.49 seconds on her swims.

Tamara Venter made it into four finals in the 50m and 200m backstroke and 100m and 200m freestyle events.

Her best placing was in the 200m backstroke where she came fourth. Tamara also improved on her times by 8.7 seconds.

Leah Wilkins has shown remarkable improvement this season, starting the season as a level 0 swimmer and going on to qualify for level one and reaching two finals at the level one regionals, where she swam a personal best in the 100m backstroke final.

Abigail Wilkins swam in a very competitive age group but was still able to improve on her best times by 1.51 seconds.
