Swimmers from Blue Ocean Aquatics (BOA) were at their very best at the Westville Sprints held at Kings Park recently.

Of the 23 swimmers who represented the club, 22 swam at least one personal-best time, most swam personal-bests on all their swims and Daena Robinson set a meet record in the 50m breaststroke 11-year-old gold division.

The club came home with 12 gold medals, 17 silver medals and eight bronze medals. BOA also boasted two overall age group winners – Tehl-Cadi Day Garden and Enzo Raynard.

Coach Mandy Koegelenberg congratulated the swimmers and said they’re looking forward to holiday training and the KZN premier champs coming up on 17-22 December.

She also wished the swimmers well who’ll be competing at SA schools, namely Gemma Allchin, Daena Robinson, Daniel Fisher and Marnu Koekemoer.
