STATEMENT BY KWAZULU PRIVATE AMBULANCE:
At approximately 14h50 on Sunday, Kwazulu Private Ambulance Service responded to the N2, between Paddock and Harding for an accident.
On arrival at Wilson’s Cutting pass, the paramedics found that a truck had lost control and collided with a car and taxi while half the truck went down an embankment.
Paramedics found multiple patients across the road.
Paramedics sprung into action assessing and treating patients. Four patients were seriously injured and transported to hospital, two of which required advanced life support paramedic intervention.
A further 13 patients suffered minor injuries and were also transported to hospital. The cause of the accident is not yet known but SAPS are investigating.
