KwaZulu-Natal’s 40 fastest race cars will take on the rest of South Africa in a drags showdown at Dezzi South Coast Raceway on Saturday.
The event, organised by Gas Magazine, KZN Drag Racing and RACESA, promises to thrill petrol heads.
Yash Ori from Gas Magazine said, “This weekend’s ‘Heads up’ drags will be a timed event and we’ll be running 16 classes for all 80 participates.
“We will, however, like to have 30-45 minutes of heads up racing at some point during the event to give the crowds an opportunity to see some highly competitive racing.
“We expect a massive crowd with a promise of some exciting and seriously fast cars and bikes coming to give the KZN boys a run for their money. We urge all you petrol heads to come out and show some love for your hometown racers.”
Ticket pricing is R70 for adults and free for kids under 12. Patrons are allowed to bring their own food and beverages, non-branded gazebos and chairs, however, strictly no alcohol, cooler boxes and glass bottles are allowed.
