The Port Shepstone Hockey Club ladies team took on Thomas Moore in a hard-fought match on Saturday.
Thomas Moore scored first, but the Sheppie ladies came back with drive and scored their first goal through Michelle Redinger.
The rest of the first half saw both teams miss opportunities and at half-time the scores were level at 1-1.
The Sheppie ladies came out with a bang in the second half, taking just a few minutes for Amanda Herbert to drive through Thomas Moore’s defence to put Port Shepstone in the lead.
Thomas Moore fired back with two goals but this just got the Sheppie ladies geared up even more, and some fantastic passing saw Annika Mulder square the ledger at 3-3.
The last few minutes saw both sides miss a lot of goal-scoring opportunities before Thomas Moore sneaked a goal in the dying seconds of the match to win the game 4-3.
Goalkeeper Marozaan Pretorius (pictured) made several awesome saves and was selected as the Player of the Match.
