STATEMENT BY LOWER SOUTH COAST SPCA:

An emergency operation was performed on Jasmin by veterinarians of the Lower South Coast SPCA late on Friday afternoon.

Jasmin is a gentle dog with pretty black and white markings.

This operation saved her life.

Jasmin was prognosed with an infection in the uterus called pyometra.

As the infection progresses, the uterus is filled up with pus. If it is not attended to in time, the uterus can burst and the pus can contaminate other organs, which can be fatal.

Dr Blessing and Dr Letiwe immediately operated and saved the life of Jasmin.

She now has a second chance in life and has been adopted by our one and only, Inspector Werner Taljaard. He could not resist this beauty with her proud and gentle manner.
