Man arrested with drugs and suspected stolen property in Shelly Beach

On Friday 20 March at about 10:00, Port Shepstone Tactical Response Team (TRT), Provincial and Port Shepstone SAPS K9 as well as members from Crime Intelligence, responded to information at Marine Drive in Shelly Beach.

A 42-year-old man of foreign national descent was arrested and charged for possession of stolen property, possession of drugs and defeating the ends of justice.

He was detained at SAPS Port Shepstone and appeared in the Port Shepstone Magistrate’s Court on Monday 23 March. He remains in police custody and was not granted bail. He will make another court appearance on 30 March 2020.

The UGU Cluster Commander, Major General Sethenya Nxamagele, was pleased that the multi-disciplinary approach resulted in the arrest and recovery of possible stolen property.
