NSRI assists stranded jet-skier in Shelly Beach

STATEMENT BY NSRI SHELLY BEACH DEPUTY STATION COMMANDER ANTOINETTE LE ROUX:

At 14h40, Friday, 29th December, NSRI Shelly Beach duty crew were activated following reports from Shelly Beach Control of a jet-ski with no power at the Shelly Beach backline.

The sea rescue craft Spirit of Dawn was launched and the jet-ski, with a 34 year old male from Midrand, Gauteng, was taken aboard our sea rescue craft and we towed the jet-ski to shore without incident and no further assistance was required.
